Bandaging & Dressing, Signs & Symptoms of Illnesses & Diseases

Questions:

1.What is a bandage?
     A bandage is piece of material used to support a medical device such as dressing or splint.It is also used to restrict a part of the body.A bandage is available in various forms such as roller bandage, triangular, and elastic bandage.

2.When should we go see a doctor?
     We must go see a doctor if we are experiencing any pain or if it is too late call for help and ask them to call for help or ask the person to bring him/her to the hospital or go to see a doctor.

3.Where should we place the safety pin when we bring the third corner forward?
     We must put the safety pin in front of the bandage so that the bandage will be secured and will not fall off.

4. How should we cover the injured part of the patient?
     a.) Let the patient sit comfortably and support the injured part of the body.
     b.)The bandage must be applied evenly and firmly.It should not be too tight so as not to
          affect the blood circulation.
     c.)In case of emergency(like bleeding), it is important to stop it.

5. What is the difference of signs and symptoms?
      Signs are what the doctors see and symptoms are what the patient is experiencing.
